How To Make Birthday Cake Fudge Recipe
Birthday Cake Fudge Ingredients:
2 cups Birthday Cake, Confetti, or Funfetti Cake Mix
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup + 1 Tbsp whipping cream
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
Supplies Needed:
8×8-inch pan
Parchment paper, wax paper, or nonstick spray
Microwave-safe large mixing bowl
Kitchen spoon or silicone spatula
Sharp knife
Directions:
Step 1: Grease an 8×8 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray (making sure to get the edges of the pan) or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Combine the cake batter mix and powdered sugar in a microwave-safe bowl and mix well.
Step 3: Add 1/4 cup of the heavy cream and 1/2 cup of butter to the large bowl and stir it a few times. Microwave the bowl on high for 2 minutes.
Step 4: Remove from the microwave and stir thoroughly with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.
Step 5: Add your white chips and 1 tablespoon of cream. Stir again. This melted chocolate mixture should resemble dough at this point.
Step 6: Press the white fudge mixture into your prepared pan.
Distribute the colorful sprinkles over the top and then slightly press them down with your fingers or a spatula to secure them to the white chocolate layer.
Step 7: Cool in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or leave it on the counter until it cools to room temperature. Cut with a sharp knife and enjoy!
How To Store Leftover Birthday Cake Fudge
Store any leftovers in the square pan under aluminum foil or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
What Do I Do If I Can’t Find Funfetti Cake Mix?
If your store doesn’t have any variety of funfetti or confetti cake mix, you can essentially make your own.
Take a white cake mix or (as a last resort) yellow cake mix. Empty the box of cake mix into a large bowl and mix in about 1/3 cup of long sprinkles. Then continue with the cake batter fudge recipe instructions from there.
Is There Another Type Of Sprinkles I Can Use For This Birthday Cake Fudge?
Yes! I like to use rainbow sprinkles for this great recipe because they are representative of festivities and celebrations, but you can use any sprinkles you choose. The long jimmies tend to be softer than the harder balls, but the size, shape, and color are completely up to you.
