Is taxi driver worth watching kdrama? ›

While this is by no means a comedy there are some fun amusing moments. The cast is solid; most obviously Lee Je-hoon as Kim Do-gi, Esom as Kang Ha-na and Kim Eui-sung as taxi company boss Jang Sung-chul. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to fans of Korean dramas.

Season 2 is expected to air in 2023. A day later, Kim Eui-sung, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram also confirmed to reprise their roles. Season 2 marks the reunion of Shin Jae-ha and Pyo Ye-jin after working together in the drama VIP.

That is, until I binge-watched both seasons of Taxi Driver. First and foremost, and just to clarify: Taxi Driver is not a show where romance at the forefront. Taxi Driver is at its core a revenge story, and also part of one of my favorite genres: “Found family of misfits”.

Everyone's favorite ragtag team of taxi company employees who moonlight as vigilante heroes has returned for a second season, and the hype leading up to Taxi Driver 2 was only surpassed by its ratings. This action packed sequel is fun, humorous, and — dare I say? — better than the original.

Quite rightly regarded as one of the best films of all time, TAXI DRIVER is without a doubt compelling viewing. What the film lacks in plot it makes up for in characterisation: De Niro is with us from the start, we follow on his journey as he slides into extreme violence and becomes a vigilante.

Characters are seen smoking and taking pills and there are references to being 'high'. One of the film's characters is a child prostitute and there are graphic references to the sexual acts she will perform for clients, as well as a scene in which she unzips a potential customer's trousers.
